A passion project independently created by BUNIILA and first published to the webcomic platform WEBTOON in August 2020,
The idea of THE 71 LIARS was established in 2011 when BUNIILA was only 8 years old. The story and worldbuilding came after the creation of her original characters and have flourished throughout the years. During the COVID-19 pandemic and almost a decade after the first concepts of THE 71 LIARS were created, BUNIILA sought to self-publish the series as a webcomic, and as a passion project.
THE 71 LIARS has gained recognition by WEBTOON Canvas on social media for events and milestones. In August 2021, THE 71 LIARS was recognized by WEBTOON Canvas staff and was put on the site's front page under the Staff Picks section.
